Coral Gables was established in 1925 as a planned community – one of the earliest of its kind in the United States – and has quickly evolved into a desirable residential and business destination. It is also one of the first cities in Florida to implement the Historic Preservation Ordinance designating many local buildings as landmarks and protecting them.

Called the City Beautiful, Coral Gables is well-known for its wide canals and picturesque architecture, from terracotta roofs and verdant greenery to its striking Mediterranean Revival architecture evident in landmarks such as the Biltmore Hotel featuring tennis and golf club, and an amazing Venetian pool.  The choice of real estate is extensive: you can take you pick of townhouses, detached homes and apartments. If you’re partial to waterfront property and love boating, you will feel accommodated by the numerous boat storage solutions available in the neighborhood.

Coral Gables attracts families with kids, young professionals and students in equal measure. It is home to excellent public and private schools; the University of Miami, and numerous restaurants, galleries and theaters. The city has a thriving cultural and arts scene, an electric downtown, and hosts festivals and live music events from time to time. Residents also benefit from the dedicated green spaces representing the suburban character of the neighborhood.

Over 170 multinational companies and a number of trade offices and consulates call Coral Gables home. Thoughtful additions include traffic circles for enhanced safety and a free trolley in the downtown that make it convenient to explore the business district.
